Improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers in Malawi since 2006

The International Potato Center has been working in Malawi since 2006 and in July this year celebrated 9 years of working to improve nutrition and livelihoods of smallholder farmers in the country. During the celebrations Dr Barbara Wells, CIP Director General and Honorable Dr. Allan Chiyembekeza, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development spoke to the local media to highlight the ways in which CIP, in partnership with the government, have been working together to achieve results.  Watch these videos to hear Dr Wells and Honorable Dr. Chiyembekeza talk about how potato and sweetpotato are changing the lives of smallholder farmers in Malawi.
