Policy and market development
Potato can play an important role in improving nutrition and increasing incomes through greater market chain opportunities for small-scale farmers, their families, and their communities. CIP is applying methodologies and strategies developed to enhance small-producers’ access to and participation in value market chains through strategic partnerships, participatory approaches, capacity strengthening, initiatives to promote policy changes, and appropriate delivery systems to reach target households. Emphasis is placed on reaching women and households headed by landless people.
