In the Summer 2015 Issue of African Nutrition Matters, CIP’s Robert Ackatia-Armah makes the case that CIP is well placed to deliver upon the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) but warns that slower progress on MDG1, the eradication extreme poverty and hunger, will also inhibit the achievement of other MDGs. In the article entitled “Enhancing infant and young child nutrition through agriculture for the reduction of Vitamin A Deficiency in rural communities”, Ackatia-Armah describes how CIP’s work contributes to supporting the food security and nutrition needs of smallholder farmers and the communities where they live and how CIP will continue to work toward achieving the MDGs in the remaining months of 2015 and the Sustainable Development Goals thereafter.
