The year 2025 was a defining one for the International Potato Center (CIP). The global funding environment shifted rapidly, presenting significant challenges for agricultural research and development institutions worldwide. Yet these conditions also offered an opportunity: to sharpen our focus, strengthen our discipline, and reaffirm the foundations that have sustained CIP for more than five decades, namely, scientific excellence, trusted partnerships, and responsible stewardship of resources.
