Biography

Felistus Chipungu is a program manager based in Bvumbwe, Malawi. She holds a Ph.D. and is a research scientist, specifically a sweetpotato breeder. She leads the project “Market-led Transformation of the Root and Tuber Crops Subsector in Malawi (RTC-MARKET)”, funded by the Embassy of Ireland to Malawi. Working with several collaborating partners, the purpose is to transform and commercialize the RTC subsector by enhancing private sector participation in RTC value chains, specifically focusing on cassava, potato, and sweetpotato crop components.
