Biography

Mukani Moyo is a food scientist based in Nairobi, Kenya. She holds a Ph.D. in Wine Sciences from Stellenbosch University, South Africa. Mukani has extensive experience in food chemistry, food quality and safety, food technology, and sensory science, working with the private sector and in research for development. Mukani joined CIP in 2019, leading CIP’s nutritional platform FANEL (Food and Nutritional Evaluation Laboratory), which is based in Nairobi. Her contributions extend beyond FANEL, as she actively supports efforts throughout the region in areas of food technology, quality, safety, and sensory science. Mukani is passionate about food system innovations that elevate the nutritional profile and economic prosperity of agricultural stakeholders.
