Biography
Willy Pradel is an agricultural economist based in Lima, Peru. He holds an MSc in Agricultural Development Economics from Wageningen University, Netherlands. Willy brings twenty years of extensive experience in agricultural development projects across Latin America, Africa, and South and Southeast Asia. Specializing in both participatory and quantitative approaches, he excels in monitoring, evaluation, and impact studies of agricultural projects.
Willy has led key components of two CGIAR initiatives in Peru—AgriLAC Resiliente and Resilient Cities—focusing on climate change adaptation and mitigation, inclusive markets, and the integration of digital technologies. His expertise and leadership have been instrumental in driving sustainable agricultural practices and fostering resilient communities in developing regions.
