African Potato Association | Triennial Conference
The African Potato Association’s 12th triennial conference will be held in Lilongwe, Malawi, under the theme of “Harnessing potato and sweet potato innovations for resilient and healthier agri-food systems.”
The hybrid conference is the premier event in Africa for showcasing the value and potential of root and tuber crops to enable stronger food and nutrition security and higher incomes for farmers and sellers.
The African Potato Association (APA) is a non-profit organization formed in 1983 with a core objective to promote the production and the use of potato and sweetpotato in Africa. Currently, most APA members are scientists and practitioners drawn from 20 African countries.
For CIP, this event is a very important opportunity to build new relationships while strengthening old ones in service of smallholder farmers and vulnerable communities across sub-Saharan Africa.
