A new $40,000 (~UGX 148.5 million) processing facility will be built in Kyere town council, Serere district, to help Teso-region sweetpotato farmers add value and reach markets. The Soroti Sweet Potato Producers and Processors Association (SOSPPA) is leading the project, with financing from the Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP), technical support from the International Potato Center (CIP), and World Bank oversight.
