Building One Corporate System (OCS)
Three weeks, over 40 people, nine international agricultural research for development centers. Added together, this is part of the formula for creating a common, cross-cutting operational support platform, known as One Corporate System (OCS). OCS is a cross-center initiative of the Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and its Consortium Office. Its aim is to create a common system for managing projects, human resources, finances, and other administrative and reporting functions.

High population pressures have increased the competition for grains as food or livestock feed. Increased use and production of sweetpotato may provide a solution. Sweetpotato vines offer more protein and dry matter per unit area and require less land than other commonly used livestock feeds.
