Data management

Data management is the practice of collecting, keeping, and using data efficiently, open, and free accessible online.

For the CIP Genebank this practice is applied for potato, sweetpotato and ARTCs (andean root and tuber crops) in the different format collections such as seed, in vitro, cryopreservation, herbarium and field/bench conservation.

Also international data standards are adopted to provide consistency in data shared among different users and information systems.
