The International Potato Center (CIP) is participating in the 6th Global Forum of Leaders for Agricultural Science and Technology (GLAST), held in Chengdu, China November 12-14, 2019.
An initiative of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), in partnership with Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and CGIAR, the biennial forum brings together leaders in agricultural research and development from around the world for several days of presentations and discussion. Under the theme of “Science and Technology for Green Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas,’ participants will discuss solutions to global challenges and strategies for improving food and nutrition security, incomes and sustainability through agricultural innovation.
CIP Director General, Barbara H Wells, will deliver a keynote presentation November 13 at 8:50 am on ‘Taking stock of the Nutrition Accountability Scorecard,” followed by an open discussion by a panel of experts.
