Founded in 1971, the International Potato Center (CIP) is considered one of the most important centers in the world for scientific research in potato, sweet-potato and Andean tubers. CIP’s objective is to achieve sustainable poverty reduction and food security in developing countries.
As part of its organizational structure, CIP has a Research Support Unit, created in 2011, which runs the Center’s service area and consists of facilities (laboratories and greenhouses) well equipped to carry out R+D+I activities.
