Internships

CIP offers highly motivated and successful individuals the opportunity to expand their skills while gaining work experience in an international environment.

CIP’s interns participate directly in the on-going research or support an operational unit, under the supervision of qualified professionals.

The research work at CIP covers a wide range of disciplines from biotechnology and molecular biology, to laboratory research and field work.

These appointments may be located at CIP’s Lima headquarters or any of its regional or country offices located in 20 countries worldwide.

To be accepted, applicants must fulfill the minimum qualifications indicated below:

International Students

Students should be registered in a university outside of the location where they wish to apply. These internships are not remunerated by CIP; therefore, interns must come with their own funds to cover their needs and show proof of international medical insurance that covers their stay.

National Students

National Graduate Internship National graduate student pursuing,his/her PhD or MSc.

National Undergraduate Internship (Pre-professional and professional
practice)
As intern1:
• CIP provides a stipend, medical insurance, lunch, transport
• Pre – professional (enrolled student): up to 30,hours / week.
• Professional (Completed studies): up to 40 hours / week.
• Time frame: up to 1 year
• High grade,average.
• Presentation letter by the University.

Thesis Research Students / Graduate Internships (International / National)

Send application with supporting documents to cip-internships@cgiar.org HR shares application with CIP leaders. If there is a,need, the Hiring Manager will contact the student. Hiring Manager contacts student and discusses the scope,of work for the appointment. When the appointment is approved, CIP will send a,formal invitation to the student. The student will fulfill all requirements before starting,the assignment.

Undergraduate Internships (International / National)

Students apply for the internship,opportunity posted on the website. HR will review and select resumes,according the profile requested. The shortlisted,students will be interviewed by the Hiring Manager. The selected,student will fulfill all requirements before starting,the assignment.
