CIP’s Crop Improvement Programs focus on developing varieties that meet consumer demands for healthier, pest- and disease-resistant varieties and clones. More than 3,000 breeding materials are available for distribution. Please click on the links provided to order improved germplasm.

CIP’s Genebank maintains one of the world’s largest collections of roots and tubers in the world, with more than 16,000 accessions of potato, sweetpotato and native Andean Root and Tuber Crops (ARTCs). Please click on the Ordering System below to acquire germplasm.

CIP has created sets of germplasm to address specific agro-ecological needs in potato and sweetpotato growing areas. These sets include materials resistant to drought, frost, and various pests and diseases.
