Biography

Oswaldo Chavez is a Specialist in IT and Computational Research based in Lima, Peru. He has expertise in data analysis using R and Python. Oswaldo holds a master’s degree in computer engineering from the Universidad Pontificia Católica del Perú (PUCP). He joined CIP in early 2009 to create Genebank catalogs, resulting in published catalogs of Tropaelum tuberosum, Oxalis tuberosa, and Ullucus tuberosus preserved in the Genebank. Currently, he developed applications to improve and automate Genebank processes. Also, he works to provide support to Genebank scientists in experimental data analysis and genetic diversity analysis for the germplasm collection.
