This session will highlight the role of biofortified sweetpotato, as part of a nutritious food basket, in tackling the nutrition and food security needs of rural and urban poor households. CGIAR scientists will present experiences and perspectives on the role of biofortified crops — specifically sweetpotato — in diversifying the diets of rural and urban poor for improved nutrition and food security.
