The Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD) is supporting the change in spelling to “sweetpotato” to promote its uniqueness—the very reason why the initiative was proposed and adopted in 1989, its news release said.
