Biography

Andrea Carrión is a Germplasm Acquisition and Distribution Specialist based in Lima, Peru. She has a degree in Plant Sciences with experience in in vitro techniques, with knowledge of management and logistics applied to Germplasm Distribution. Since 2023, she is also the Technical Responsible for Plant Quarantine at CIP. Andrea dedicatedly applies her diverse skills, contributing to the distribution and use of germplasm under the terms of the international treaty in compliance with national and international phytosanitary and customs regulations. She is particularly interested in genetic diversity research and plant tissue culture.
