Biography
Hildo Loayza, a physicist based in Lima, Peru, holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science. He specializes in remote sensing for precision agriculture, leading research projects focused on developing low-cost and open-source hardware and software for remote sensing tools. His work involves using chlorophyll fluorescence emissions to detect early water stress in crops using both active and passive methods. Currently, he is exploring the prediction of crop yields using remote sensing data and AI algorithms. Additionally, he is working on crop classification to predict crop rotations on a global scale using satellite imagery and deep learning algorithms.
