Biography

Seraphine Uzamushaka is a Research Assistant Agronomist based in Kigali, Rwanda. She holds a Master’s in Agronomy from the University of Nairobi. Seraphine has extensive work experience in agricultural research, having worked for more than four years for CIP in Rwanda on different projects aimed at increasing crop production while reducing production costs for potato and orange-fleshed sweet potato. Her work involves researching and training farmers on good agricultural practices (GAP) to improve crops.

Seraphine was part of the team that developed and released new potato varieties in Rwanda in 2019 and 2020. She is currently part of the team validating fertilizers used for six targeted crops in Rwanda, and they are launching new fertilizer recommendation tools in the Smart Nkunganire System (SNS). Additionally, she is skilled in bean, fruit, and vegetable production. Seraphine is eager to apply her skills and experience to serve both nationally and internationally.
