Biography

Pooja Pandey is a senior research associate based in Haryana, India. She completed her Ph.D. in Horticulture in 2018 from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. In 2019, she joined CIP as a researcher. Pooja has published over ten research papers and seven articles in English and Hindi. Alongside her colleagues, she is involved in a potato project focused on Haryana, where she engages in germplasm evaluation to select the best potato varieties preferred by farmers in the state. Pooja is also actively working to enhance the state’s self-sufficiency in quality potato seed production by raising awareness among farmers about new and advanced technologies. She enjoys engaging with farmers to understand their challenges in farming and discuss potential solutions.
