Biography

Frederick Kobina Grant is a Public Health Nutrition epidemiologist based in Kampala, Uganda. He holds a Ph.D. in Nutrition and Health Sciences from Emory University. Frederick has over 15 years of experience in the implementation of nutrition-sensitive programs in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. He led the CGIAR Research Program on Roots, Tubers, and Bananas (RTB) Cluster on Nutritious Sweet Potato for Expanding Markets and Improving Diets. He is a member of the One-CGIAR FRESH Initiative Development Team and Leader of Work Package 7 for the Seed Equal Initiative. Frederick is also the Research Leader for Diets and Nutrition – Urban Food Systems Science Goal within CIP. Currently, he serves as the Uganda Country Manager and Nutrition Scientist.
