Biography

Carolina Bastos is an agronomist based at the Huancayo Experimental Station in Junín, Perú. She works as an associate researcher in the genetics and breeding program. Carolina has experience supporting potato breeders in conducting experiments in the field and greenhouses in the highlands for genomic selection and the development of new potato varieties. She also has extensive experience as a facilitator in participatory training methods and selecting new varieties. Additionally, she uses her personal and professional skills to work with a multidisciplinary team and manage national and international collaborative research networks.
