Biography
Michelin Rasoloniaina is a senior research assistant based in Antananarivo, Madagascar. He is an agricultural engineer with over seventeen years of experience in rural development within FIFAMANOR (Center for Rural Development and Applied Research), CIP/AfricaRice, and other institutions.
Michelin has extensive experience in conducting research and variety selection on sweetpotato, potato, taro, and upland rice. Additionally, he has specialized in sweetpotato field inspection as a seed system specialist, producing and promoting orange-fleshed sweetpotato and its diversified uses, as well as producing other crops such as maize, soy, and fodder crops. He also trains and supervises students, technicians, extension agents, and farmers.
