Biography

Trent Blare is a country representative and scientist based in Quito, Ecuador. He holds an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida. At CIP, he oversees programs to strengthen the Andean food systems based on agroecological principles. His research focuses on building food systems that are inclusive of traditionally marginalized groups, including women, youth, and Indigenous communities.
