Biography
Vilma Hualla Mamani is a Data Management Specialist at CIP, based in Lima, Peru. She has a solid background in data management, supported by a master’s degree in plant Breeding and Applied Statistics. Currently, she is expanding her expertise through doctoral studies in Sustainable Agriculture, focusing on researching the agrobiodiversity of native potato varieties in the Andes of Peru and Latin America. With over fifteen years of experience, her focus extends beyond research to include promoting citizen science, particularly the involvement of young women. Vilma’s professional skills cover various areas, including knowledge management, conservation, open access, ontologies, digital platforms, and data curation. These skills and experiences have been developed and strengthened throughout her career at CIP.
